The public art setting in Yuan-shan Branch, Bank of Taiwan focuses on combining the language of art in the new era with contemporary entrepreneurship and the trend for financial institutions to be more user- friendly. The piece “He” is inspired by the word “He“ (friendliness) from the Chinese saying: friendliness is conducive to business success. Three interlocking rings symbolize accommodating, compatible and perfection. Like ancient coins, there are holes through the rings. The top two rings form the shape of number “8”. The pronunciation of “8” in Mandarin is similar to that of “prosper”, representing good luck and prosperity.
